We are so pleased to be able to offer our current classes and to judge from your response, so are you.
We have a limited number of openings still available in the initial class, so if you have been thinking about it, now may be the time to act.

This is charming class that you will return to again and again to provide gifts. We will provide the canvas and threads; you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
Swim little fishiest, swim as fast as you can, and they swam all over the Edwardian Needle. These little darlings have proved so popular that we have scheduled additional classes.
RIBBON FISH

A delightful concoction of stitches with a ribbon rose tail. We will provide the canvas and threads; you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
SEAHORSE #1
Sunday, September 14th 1- 4 PM $50
Smaller then the fish, but just a fun, these make great travel pieces. We will provide the canvas and threads; you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
SMALL TURQUOISE FISH
Sunday, September 28th 1- 4 PM $55
Smaller in size but with the same appeal, these little brothers would make a great mobile for an aquarium themed nursery or combined with their big brothers and the seahorses displayed in a fish tank as an amusing piece of art. We will provide the canvas and threads; you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
As announced earlier, we are thrilled to be able to bring you Candace Kling, a renowned fabric artist.
Candace’s years of enthusiastic research in ribbon and fabric embellishment have led her to explore museum costume and textile collections across the country, teaching as she goes. In addition to her wealth of knowledge from years of research, Candace brings to her classes ribbon work sample boards, ribbon catalogs, and books to share. Her book, The Artful Ribbon, is still a favorite among ribbon fans.
Candace's richly detailed textile sculptures have been exhibited nationally and internationally over the last 25 years and are included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Arts and Design and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, as well as The Oakland Museum of California and the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. Candace is a graduate of the California College of Arts. Her work appears in the recent publication and traveling exhibition "Crafts in America".
RIBBON & FABRIC TRIMS
October 17th & 18th 10 AM - 4PM $250
In this hands-on class, students will create a myriad of samples: strip trimmings, edgings and surface finishes: pleated, folded, pressed, gathered and stitched. Although the origin of some of these trims dates back to the 18th Century, their applications is amply evident in today's exuberant fashion pages. Candace brings to class ribbon books and catalogs, as well as many boards of ribbon work examples. For this class, we'll use both ribbon and fabric. Come and refresh your memory or learn it all for the very first time.
We will provide the canvas and threads: you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
RIBBON & FABRIC FLOWERS
October 19th & 20th 10 AM - 4PM $250
Spend two days watching flowers bloom beneath your fingertips. Begin at the beginning. Create variations on the theme. Refine your stitching skills. Expand your repertoire of petals, leaves and buds. We'll try our hand at pretty pansies, delicate fuchsias, the lovely rose and more. Use ribbon the first day and fabric the second to create a beautiful bouquet of samples. Come and refresh your memory or learn it all for the very first time. We will provide the canvas and threads: you should bring the usual stitching supplies.
